History:
Easton Cemetery of Easton, Pennsylvania, was established in 1849 as part of the rural cemetery movement, which emphasized park-like landscapes and elegant memorials. Designed by notable landscape architect James Charles Sidney, the cemetery spans over 90 acres and features rolling hills, towering monuments, and hundreds of ornate Victorian-era gravestones.
This historic burial ground is the final resting place of many prominent figures, including Samuel Phillps Hall (founder of Lafayette College) and George Taylor (a signer of the Declaration of Independence).
