"Many moons ago I lived. Again I come. Patience Worth my name. Wait, I would speak with thee. If thou shalt live, then so shall I. I make my bread at thy hearth. Good friends, let us be merrie. The time for work is past. Let the tabby drowse and blink her wisdom to the firelog." - Patience Worth in her first message through the Ouija board, 1913

Enter the fascinating world of the Ouija board with this incredible 1916 edition of Patience Worth: A Psychic Mystery by Casper S. Yost.

Yost was a famous author, poet, and newspaper editor who discovered the spirit writings of Patience Worth, a spirit channeled through the Ouija board by medium Pearl Curran from 1913 to 1937. He wrote this book to document the Ouija sessions conducted by Pearl Curran and publish them for public speculation and conversation. Yost ultimately believed that the phenomenon could not be conclusively debunked.

Pearl Curran's psychic abilities were called into question by the scientific community immediately after this book was published. Yost was accused of covering up Curran's fraudulent spirit messages to increase sales of this very book.

The book is in fantastic condition for being over 109 years old. The binding is tight, and all pages are present and free from writing or markings (besides the private library stamp of an original owner). There is a small cut or tear at the top of the spine. Please view all photos carefully before purchasing.
